Warm Saute of Winter Fruit

INGREDIENTS

2 tb Butter or margarine
2 tb Maple syrup
1 lg Apple — cored; thinly
Sliced
1 Firm, ripe pear — cored;
Thinly sliced
1/3 c Raisins or currants
1/3 c Walnuts or pecans —
Chopped
1 ds Ground cinnamon
1 ds Nutmeg
2 tb Water
2 tb Brandy

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Melt butter in a saute pan or large skillet. Stir in maple syrup and
adjust to taste.
2. Add remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat and stir until fruits
are tender.
* Timesaver Tip: Ingredients can be prepared ahead; rub apple and pear
slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
