Winter Fruit Crisp

INGREDIENTS

4 sl Cubed cinnamon raisin bread
1/4 c Melted unsalted butter
1/2 c Sugar
1/2 ts Ground cloves
2 tb Sliced almonds
Fruit:
1 c Sugar
3 tb Flour
3 lg Golden delicious apples,
Peeled, cored & sliced
2 lg Pears, peeled, cored &
Sliced
1 1/2 c Cranberried, fresh or
Frozen
2 tb Lemon juice

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 375. For topping, combine bread, butter, sugar,
cloves & almonds in large bowl. To prepared fruit, toss together
sugar & flour in large bowl until combined. Add apples, pears,
cranberries & lemon juice, tossing until combined. Spoon into 13X9X2"
baking dish or oval baking dish. Sprinkle on topping, leaving 1"
border of fruit showing around rim of dish. Tent loosely with
aluminum foil. Place on baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes or
until bubbly & fruit in center of dish is tender when pierced with a
fork. Remove foil during last 30 minutes or baking. Cool until warm.
Serve with vanilla ice cream if desired.
