    Christian Science Christian Science: Doctrine of ‘Miracles’

      Christian Science teaches that

      • Christ was a spiritual idea of God conceived by Mary and that she named it Jesus
      • Miracles were not real, but they were ‘illusions of the mortal mind’
      • Disease, sin, sickness, death are all illusions. Only ‘mind’ is real and spiritual
      • Disease can only exist in the illusion of matter, which does not exist
      • Therefore, miracles did not exist
