God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Teaching theology to a heathen will not bring him to faith in Christ. He may learn the evangelical vocabulary and verbally affirm the truth. He may accept the truth of a list of gospel facts. But without a divine miracle to open his blind eyes and give him a new heart, he will only be a theologically informed pagan, not a Christian.
John MacArthur

As we feel the calamities of war more than the pleasures of peace, and diseases more than the quietness of health, and the hardness of poverty more than the commodities of abundance; even so we ought not to marvel if we feel the stingings and pricks of sin a great deal more than the consolations of the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

It’s an easy thing to decide that God doesn’t exist. So many things fall into place – living however you want, not having to worry about eternity, not feeling guilty for any wrong thing you do…

Really, concepts like “morality” totally crumble in the face of no God. No God implies that humans are just highly evolved animals. It’s an incredible thing to be so smart and do anything we can get away with, eh? Anyone representing morality (law) becomes an obstacle to be twisted and toyed with – they stand for nothing, since you have decided God is a lie.

Your future is in your hands. What a power rush! What an opportunity.

The problem is, you have no proof that God doesn’t exist. What if you’re making all these decisions and He really is around? What happens then?

God has a wonderful purpose for you. He promises that people who search for him will find him. Try talking to God and see what happens.
