Saturday night’s and Sunday morning's grumbling and controversy and quarreling can ruin a worship service for a family. My suggestion is this: When there is something you are angry about or some conflict that you genuinely think needs to be talked about, forebear, and put if off till later on Sunday after worship. Don't dive in Saturday night or Sunday morning (Psalm 106:25).

Sour Cream Prune Cake

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 c Brown sugar
1 c Thick sour cream
1/4 c Cold water
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1 1/2 c Cake flour
2 Eggs, well beaten
1 c Uncooked pitted prunes
2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Cloves
1 ts Nutmeg

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine eggs, sugar, cream, and water.  Mix well.  Sift flour, measure 1
1/4 cups, and sift with baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices. Add
to first mixture. Beat thoroughly. Add prunes which have been cut in small
pieces and dredged in 1/4 cup of the sifted flour. Pour into well-oiled
loaf pan.  Bake in moderate oven (375 F) about 45 minutes. The Household
