We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

One would think that [persecution] would be an obstacle to church growth when joining the church meant a death sentence. And yet, the age of persecution was the greatest period of church growth in history.
Gene Edward Veith

If sin is not our core problem, the gospel itself – the thing of first importance – is marginalized. The good news that Jesus proclaimed and offered is that there is forgiveness of sins, not through our own attempts to please God but by placing our confidence in Jesus Himself, in His death and resurrection. If sin is not our primary problem, then the gospel of Jesus is no longer the most important event in all of human history.

Put all in a 1 pound coffee can with a tight fitting lid. Place the lid on
the can and place that can into a 3 pound coffee can with a tight fitting
lid. Pack the larger can with ice and pour at least 3/4 cup rock salt over
the ice. Place the lid on the 3 pound can. Give it to the kids and they can
roll it back and forth for 10 minutes. Open the outer can. Remove the inner
can and scrape down the sides. Replace the lid, fill with ice again, and
roll 5 minutes more. Makes 3 cups of ice cream.
