We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

We are hardwired to trust in ourselves. That’s not good for us or the God-glorifying purpose for which God created us. Therefore, suffering is used to break us of self whereby we might trust more deeply in God. So God’s intent in suffering is not to pull us away from Him as many people seem to believe, but rather draw us closer to Him. And the more He strips us during affliction of our human resources and excuses and justifications and easy way outs, the more we will run to Him and cling to Him as the only thing we’ve got.
Randy Smith

This is a stunning thing to think about. All the people who will spend forever in hell will spend forever there because they will never be able to pay for their sins. And yet Jesus, in three hours, would pay in full for all the sins of all the people who would ever believe. How? Because an infinite amount of wrath can only be absorbed by an infinite person.

As the weather heats up, so does the need for some cool refreshment!! Home
made ice cream is the only way to go!!
Mix the above ingredients very well. Pour into an ice cream freezer (we
still use the hand cranked kind) If there is still room in the ice cream
container, fill almost to the top with whole milk. Be careful, though, as
the ice cream swells as it freezes. We usually serve this ice cream with a
freshly baked angel food cake and sliced strawberries. A perfect end to a
summer evening meal!
