God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

There aren't many things more stupid than Christians relying on a forbidding text to keep young people from marrying non-believers without offering rich, warm, inspirational biblical theology about Christian destiny, mission and maximum joy. By the time some young man or woman is speaking of marriage to a non-believer it's already too late to quote a verse of Scripture (Jim McGuiggan).

Christians do not suffer accidentally or because of the irresistible forces of blind fate; rather, they suffer according to God’s will... Therein lies the knowledge that there is a limit to the suffering, both in its intensity and in its duration, a limit set and maintained by the God who is our creator, our savior, our sustainer, our Father.

Bible Reading: OCT15: Mark 5-6

The feeding of the 5,000 is recorded in chapter 6. There
are many lessons we can learn from this portion of
Scripture. We see in it what can be done with one life
totally yielded to the Master. A small boy had five loaves
and two fishes. But, more than that, he had a willing heart
to give what he had to the Master. This is a familiar
portion of Scripture. Verse 42 says, “And they did all eat,
and were filled.” Also, twelve baskets full of fragments
were left over. What a lesson for us today! If we but
totally yield all we have to the Master, He can multiply
it. He can do over and above our expectations with what we
may believe to be a limited talent. Dwight L. Moody once
heard Henry Varley say that it remains to be seen what can
be done through one man who is totally yielded to God. I
trust that if you are not completely yielded to Him, that
this might be the time when you will say, “Lord, take my
all and magnify it for your honor and glory.” When we can,
from our hearts, pray that prayer, we begin learning what
abundant living is all about.

Man now can be:
Righteous.
Romans 5:19
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience
of one shall many be made righteous.
