  1. WHAT DOES Does this passage tell us something IT SAY? about God, people, the world, etc?

Is there an example, a warning or a promise? Is there a situation today similar to the issue in the Bible passage? Is there any action to take? Does it lead to praise or prayer? 2. WHAT DOES Is there a general Biblical principle IT MEAN? arising out of this particular Bible incident? What did it mean to its original hearers? What is the main point or teaching of the passage? If it is unclear is there a clearer Bible teaching on this theme? 3. WHAT DOES When, where, to whom was it written? IT SAY FOR TODAY? Why was it written? What kind of writing is it? (History? Poetry? Prophecy? Law?) What is the whole book basically about? What do the words tell us?
