We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

In the midst of an ever-changing world, the good news is that the life of faith is anchored by the power, provisions, and promises of God. Circumstances may change, but the future is as sure as the character of God Himself. No matter what happens, those who trust in God hope in His word.

The ultimate cause of all spiritual depression is unbelief. For if it were not for unbelief even the devil could do nothing. It is because we listen to the devil instead of listening to God that we go down before him and fall before his attacks. That is why this psalmist keeps on saying to himself: “Hope thou in God for I shall yet praise Him…” He reminds himself of God. Why? Because he was depressed and had forgotten God, so that his faith and his unbelief in God and in God’s power, and in his relationship to God, were not what they ought to be. We can indeed sum it all up by saying that the final and ultimate cause is just sheer unbelief.

Fry onion, garlic and white stems of chard until barely limp. Add chopped

well and pat it down until it's wet. Cover and cook until rice is done,
about 25 minutes. Add Tabasco sauce to taste.
  NOTES:
* A spicy vegetable stew -- I got this recipe from my mom, who got it from
a friend. It's very easy to make.
* I find that the flavors of the vegetables don't stand out unless you put
in a lot of tabasco. But then, I've got a cast-iron tongue. You should add
enough to make the stew seem spicy to you.
