We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

The Bible contains the words of God and has great power. It is the primary tool that God uses to provide divine guidance and insight, convict sinners, change hearts, judge thoughts and attitudes, and train and equip Christians.
Karl Graustein

We need to get something straight. God performs miracles. Most of His miracles happened in three periods of history: The time of Moses and Joshua, the time of Elijah and Elisha and the time of Jesus and the apostles. I believe God still does miracles and it’s witnessed every time He opens a person’s heart to respond favorably to Christ, but for the most part, miracles in the official sense are infrequent. As a matter of fact, the Bible says nothing about expecting God to intervene in our life through miracles. If anything, the Bible warns in these “latter days” to be on the lookout for false miracles from the evil one.

2 tb Light soy sauce
2 tb Dry sherry
1/4 ts Freshly grated ginger
4 Green onions; chopped

I know that this sounds like I'm pushing it, but one of my former cooks,
Scott, came running over with this recipe and told me I had to try it. I
think he developed it when he came home one night and found little in the
pantry except apple butter. What do you think could have caused him to come
up with such a recipe? Interesting that he always has soy, sherry, and
fresh ginger on hand. It is really quite good.
Place the steak on a plate. Mix the remaining ingredients together and
rub 2 tablespoons onto the steak, both sides. Allow to marinate for 1/2
hour and then broil on an oven rack to your liking. I enjoy mine a bit
rare. Turn once. Slice the steak across the grain of the meat and place the
pieces in an oven-proof dish. Pour the remaining sauce on top of the meat
and place under the broiler for just a few moments, thus allowing it to
glaze a bit.
This is delicious served with Rice with Cheese and Onions (see recipe).

A Message from our Provider:

“If thankfulness does not move us to serve God, then we do not truly understand who our God is and what He has done in our behalf. Without gratitude for Christ’s sacrificial love, our duty will become nothing more than drudgery and our God nothing more than a dissatisfied boss. #Bryan Chapell”
