As followers of Christ, we often suffer not because we are out of God's will but because we are in it, not because we lack faith but because we have faith. We suffer not because we need to be filled with the Spirit but because we already are. Stronger faith does not mean less suffering, but more suffering means stronger faith. Far from calling our faith into question, our afflictions result in our becoming more and more like Christ Himself.
Work! Walk through every open door; be ready in season and out of season as if everything depended on your labor. This is one of the great secrets in connection with successful service for the Lord – work as if everything depended on your diligence, and trust in the blessing of the Lord to bring success.
Cut up artichokes and mushrooms and marinate overnight in combined liquids
from artichokes and mushrooms. When ready to prepare, place a layer of
mixture in buttered casserole alternating with bread crumbs, ending with
bread crumbs topped with pats of butter. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40
minutes. Serves 4.
