The naturalist, if he is true to his principles, must ultimately conclude that humanity is a freak accident without any purpose or real importance. I wonder how many believers today realize that faith is not merely believing that Christ died for our sins. Faith is also being confident that His way is better than sin. His will is more wise. His help is more sure. His promises more precious. And His reward more satisfying. Faith begins with a backward look at the cross, but it lives with a forward look at the promises
Rinse 2 cups long-grain rice in a 2-3 quart pot with thick bottom. Pour off
milky water; when clear, add fresh water to measure 1 inch above rice.
Bring rice to vigorous boil with pot covered (if desired, you may leave pot
uncovered.) When water has evaporated, reduce heat to simmer and steam with
pot covered for about 20 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving. Serves
4-6.
