We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Aggravating all of these areas (of legalism) is a class of people who have come to be known as “controllers.” These are people who are not willing to let you live your life before God as you believe He is leading you. They have all the issues buttoned down and have cast-iron opinions about all of them. These people only know black and white. There are no gray areas to them. They insist you live your Christian life according to their rules and their opinions. If you insist on being free to live as God wants you to live, they will try to intimidate you and manipulate you one way or another. Their primary weapons are “guilt trips,” rejection, or gossip. These people must be resisted. We must not allow them to subvert the freedom we have in Christ.
Jerry Bridges

This is what sin is all about. Sin is all about promising us satisfaction, but it never keeps its promises. It can’t, because we weren’t made to satisfy ourselves. No, all sin does is blind us to the truth… We were made to find our satisfaction in a loving relationship with God, but sin convinces us to spend our lives in a self-loving relationship with ourselves. The tragedy is that in the end it doesn’t even work. Sin leaves us bitter, empty, and filled with regret. Worst of all, it leaves us outside the love of God, the one thing that could have satisfied us. It leaves us exposed to His righteous anger that was provoked by our decision to love anything and everything except Him, the one and only who was worthy of our love.

1 ts Grated lime zest
1 lg Garlic clove

here are a couple of Pesto recipes from "The Vegetarian Grill."
Cilantro pesto makes a delicious spread for grilled bruschetta or
quesadillas-or try it on a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. Also
can be brushed on grilled cauliflower, zucchini, corn and tomatoes.
It also can be spread on pizza or inside a tortilla.
1. Combine the cilantro, Parmesan, pine nuts, lime zest and garlic in
a food processor with a steel blade. Process until well mixed. With
the motor running, slowly pour in the olive oil. Season to taste with
salt and pepper and process to the desired consistency.
2. Let stand for at least 20 minutes before serving to allow the
flavors to develop. Store airtight in the refrigerator for up to 1
