We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

On a daily basis we’re faced with two simple choices. We can either listen to ourselves and our constantly changing feelings about our circumstances, or we can talk to ourselves about the unchanging truth of who God is and what He’s accomplished for us at the cross. Far too often we choose to passively listen to ourselves. We sit back and let our view of God and life be shaped by our constantly shifting feelings about our ever-changing circumstances.
C.J. Mahaney

Nowhere in the New Testament do any of the Greek words translated “fellowship” imply fun times. Rather, they talk of, for example, “The fellowship of the ministering to the saints” (2 Cor. 8:4) as sacrificial service and financial aid (see for example, 1 Tim. 6:18). Elsewhere, Paul was thankful for the Philippian believers’ “fellowship in the gospel” (Phil. 1:5), for he knew that “inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers (same word as fellowship) of my grace” (Phil. 1:7). This sort of fellowship may even bring persecution. We are to emulate Christ’s humility and self-sacrificial love (Phil. 2:5-8) through the “fellowship of the Spirit” (Phil. 2:1). In some way known only partially to us, we have the privilege of knowing “the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death” (Phil. 3:10), and even the communion (i.e. fellowship) of the blood...and body of Christ” (1 Cor. 10:16) (J.D. Morris).

1 T Very finely minced chives
1 T Very finely minced basil
1 T Very finely minced parsley
1/2 t Salt
1/2 t Freshly ground black pepper
1 Long loaf of fresh, crusty

INSTRUCTIONS

Heart the olive oil in a heavy-bottomed sauce pan over medium heat.
Add the onions and garlic and saute for 2 minutes, stirring to prevent
browning. Add the heavy cream and stir to combine. Add the cream
cheese and whisk until all of the cheese is melted and you have a
smooth mixture. Remove the pan from the heat and place the mixture in
a bowl. Let it cool for 10 minutes at room temperature. Fold in the
crabmeat, herbs and seasonings. Serve immediately or refrigerate and
serve chilled. Accompany with Herb Toasts. Herb Toasts: Preheat oven
to 350 degrees F. Combine all of the ingredients except the French
bread and let them sit for 15 minutes. Slice the bread into thin
slices. Lay the slices on a baking sheet and brush the tops with the
herbed olive oil. Bake the slices at 250 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes
or until they are crisply toasted and light golden in color. Note: All
crabmeat should be gently picked over to remove any possible remaining
shell. Place the crabmeat in a strainer and press down lightly to
extract any extra water. When using lump crab, you want to keep it as
intact as possible. Yield: 2 cups Converted by MC_Buster. NOTES :
