INGREDIENTS

3 tb Applesauce (butter)
1/2 c Chopped onion
1 c Milk
3 c Bread flour
1 1/2 ts Salt
1 1/2 tb Sugar
1/2 ts Dried dill
1/2 ts Basil
1/2 ts Rosemary
1 1/2 ts Yeast

INSTRUCTIONS

Place all ingredients including onion in pan. Select light crust & press
start.
I was out of rosemary and substituted oregano and it was fine. I would
imagine you could use any herb mix you liked.
When I was at the grocery store this morning I was reading the label on the
applesauce I was considering buying. I noticed that "regular" applesaude
actually has sugar added to it and is 90 calories per half cup whereas an
unsweetened jar had only 50 calories per half cup. I was surprised I hadn't
noticed this before and now am wondering if this makes anydifference in
terms of substituting applesauce for oil in recipes. Also, for those of you
who live in Chicago, Pillsbury Bread Flour is only 99 cents for a five
pound bag if you use your Fresh Values card at Dominicks.
