INGREDIENTS

3/4 c Hershey's cocoa
1/2 ts Baking soda
2/3 c Butter; melted & divided
1/2 c Boiling water
2 c Sugar
2 Eggs
1 1/3 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Vanilla extract
1/4 ts Salt
1 pk (12-oz) Hershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c Coarsely chopped nuts (optional)

Heat oven to 350x F.  Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan.  In medium bowl stir
together cocoa and baking soda; blend in 1/3 c. melted butter.  Add boiling
water; stir until mixture thickens.  Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining 1/3
c. melted butter, stir until smooth. Add flour, vanilla and salt; blend
well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of
pan. Cool completely in pan. Cut into squares. Makes about 36 brownies.
