INGREDIENTS

1/4 c Granulated sugar
1/2 c Water
1/2 ts Aniseed
2 c Grape juice
3 Lemon slices
12 Whole cloves
1 cn Or bottle beer (341 ml)

INSTRUCTIONS

In small saucepan, mix sugar, water and aniseed.  Bring to boil and cook
for 5 minutes.  Cool to room temperature.  Strain into pitcher containing
grape juice and lemon slices studded with cloves.  Chill
To serve, add cold beer and pour over ice in punch glasses.  Makes 4 cups.
