Hot And Sour Chickpeas

2 Onions, chopped
2 Cloves garlic, minced
1 T Ginger root, minced
1 Stick, 2-inch cinnamon
2 t Garam masala, or curry
powder
3/4 t Black pepper
2 Chickpeas
15 oz Tomatoes
2 up to
4 T Lemon juice
Cayenne

INSTRUCTIONS

family loves--even those who are not enamored of chickpeas!  Brown
onion, garlic & ginger slightly in enough oil to coat pan.  Add
spices.  When hot, add chickpeas and their liquid.  chop tomatoes and
stir in with 3/4 c juice. Add 2 T lemon juice. Taste and add cayenne
