INGREDIENTS

2 c Water
2 Family-size tea bags
3 qt Apple cider
1/2 c Lemon juice
1 c Sugar
6 Whole allspice
6 Whole cloves
6 3" cinnamon sticks
6 Whole star anise
1 l Bottle burgundy
Garnish: lemon slices and Cinnamon sticks

INSTRUCTIONS

Bring water to a boil and remove from heat. Steep tea bags, covered, for 5
minutes. Remove bags while squeezing gently. Add cider and next 6
ingredients. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 10
minutes. Discard spiced. Stir in wine and heat thoroughly. Ladle into mugs
