We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Our hopelessness and our helplessness are no barrier to (God’s) work. Indeed our utter incapacity is often the prop He delights to use for His next act… We are facing one of the principles of Yahweh’s modus operandi. When His people are without strength, without resources, without hope, without human gimmicks – then He loves to stretch forth His hand from heaven. Once we see where God often begins we will understand how we may be encouraged.

INGREDIENTS

1 Lemon ; rind of
2 c Flour
1/4 c Sugar
2 ts Baking powder
1/3 c Butter
1/2 c Heavy cream
1 Egg
1 1/2 ts Vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS

Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and rind.
Cut in butter until resembles coarse crumbs. In small bowl, mix cream,
eggs, and vanilla.
Add to flour mixture. Knead the dough (it will be sticky).
Pat dough into 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with small round glass. Place on
cookie sheet sprayed with a non-stick spray.
Bake in a 400°F oven for 10-15 minutes.
NOTE: I think 1/2 inch is too thin. Next time I make them, I'll use a glass
and make them at least 1-1/2 inches thick. ALSO, I added 1/2 teaspoon lemon
flavoring (real, not imitation!)
