Maple Praline Sweet Potatoes

INGREDIENTS

1/2 c Unsifted flour
1/2 c Light brown sugar
1/2 ts Ground allspice
1/4 c Butter or margarine
2 1/2 lb To 3 pounds sweet potatoes; pared
1/3 c Pecan halves
1/2 c Maple syrup

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In medium bowl, combine flour, sugar and
allspice. Mix we3ll. With pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter until
mixture forms coarse crumbs. Set aside. Grease 2-quart shallow baking dish.
Cut potatoes in 1/4-inch thick diagonal slices. Place about 1.3 of crumb
mixture. Repet layers of potatoes and crumbs. Sprinkle with remaining crumb
mixture and pecans. Drizzle with maple syrup. Cover with foil, and bake for
45 minutes. Remove foil. Bake until potatoes are tender, about 10 minutes.
