We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Let Him therefore send and do what He will. By His grace, if we are His, we will face it, bow to it, accept it, and give thanks for it. God’s Providence is always executed in the ‘wisest manner’ possible. We are often unable to see and understand the reasons and causes for specific events in our lives, in the lives of others, or in the history of the world. But our lack of understanding does not prevent us from believing God.

DRESSING
Source: Adapted from "ColLABorations: Recipes From Around the Corner and
Around the World" by The Parents' Association of the Laboratory Schools at
the University of Chicago [another super resource of which this recipe is a
very tame example; copies still available <g>]
Rinse greens under cold running water. Drain thoroughly. Tear into
bite-size pieces.
To prepare dressing: Combine onion, peppers, and fresh herbs in large
mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Dress salad immediately
prior to serving.
Notes: The recipe also called for 2 T. fresh chives in the dressing, but I
had none and did not miss them. Ditto 1 head of red leaf lettuce -- I like
the stronger taste of the radicchio, so substituted extra radicchio for the
red leaf lettuce. Also, unsalted sunflower seeds or pine nuts would
probably be terrific in this.

A Message from our Provider:

“We ought to give thanks for all fortune: if it is good, because it is good, if bad, because it works in us patience, humility and the contempt of this world and the hope of our eternal country. #C.S. Lewis”
