COOKIES
FROSTING
These cookies were favorites when mom had some sour milk around. We
*always* had bunches of oranges, so this was a great recipe to use up the
oranges. Anyone with a prolific fruit tree, knows what I mean! <g>
COOKIES Mis sugar and shortening until light and fluffy; add eggs one at a
time and beat well after each. Dissolve soda in sour milk. Add flour and
sour milk alternately to sugar mixture. Add the juice and rind of two
oranges and mis well. Drop onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees
until lightly brown. Cool. Frost.
FROSTING Mix frosting ingredients together beating well. Frost the cookies,
when cool.
