Oven-Baked Eggnog French Toast

INGREDIENTS

1 Loaf italian or french bread
4 Eggs
1 c Half & half
3 tb Sugar
1 ts Vanilla
1/8 ts Ground nutmeg
Powdered sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

Cut bread crosswise into 16 slices. Grease 2 large cookie sheets. Place
bread slices on sheets. In a large bowl, beat eggs with half & half, sugar,
vanilla and nutmeg until blended. Pour mixture over bread in pan, turning
slices occasionally to coat both sides and until all mixture is absorbed.
Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Bake 8-10 minutes on each side or until golden
brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
