When His people are without strength, without resources, without hope, without human gimmicks – then He loves to stretch forth His hand from heaven. Once we see where God often begins we will understand how we may be encouraged.

Pulla (scandinavian Sweet Bread)

INGREDIENTS

1 c Milk
2 T Butter
1 Egg
1 t Vanilla OR almond extract
1/4 c Sugar
1 t Salt
1/2 t Ground cardamom, up to 1
3 c All-purpose flour
2 t Rapid or quick yeast
1 Egg beaten with:
2 T Milk OR cream

INSTRUCTIONS

Source: HOLIDAY BREADS - Donna German VI  Remove dough from machine.
Divide into 3 equal parts. Roll each piece  into a long rope. Braid
ropes together. Place braid on lightly  greased baking pan. Cover and
let rise for about 1-1/2 hours. Brush  dough with EGG WASH Bake in
preheated 350° oven 25-30 minutes or  until golden.  Posted to Digest
