Hope is not defined by the absence of hardship. Rather, hope is found in God’s grace in the midst of hardship. Hope is found in His promise to give us a future. God offers hope to Christians when He promises, “I am persuaded that not even death or life, angels or rulers, things present or things to come, hostile powers, height or depth, or any other created thing will have the power to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!” (Rom. 8:38-39).

Let us consider what regard we ought to have to our own duty and to the grace of God. Some would separate these things as inconsistent. If holiness be our duty, they would say, there is no room for grace; and if it be the result of grace there is no place for duty. But our duty and God’s grace are nowhere opposed in the matter of sanctification; for one absolutely supposes the other. We cannot perform our duty without the grace of God; nor does God give His grace for any other purpose than that we may perform our duty!

    INSTRUCTIONS

    A variation on the burger mixes... I mixed the Felafel mix acc. to
directions (add water, wait 15 mins) and then made them into patties and
browned a couple of minutes on each side on nonstick pans. My mother & I
thought it was delicious :-) altho maybe not very original. As lowfat as
chickpeas are (I forget exactly but it says on the box), fairly cheap if
you buy in bulk or on sale.
