INGREDIENTS

2 lb Lean ground beef
1/4 c Chopped onions
1 c Rolled oats
2 tb Worcestershire sauce
1 c Milk or tomato juice
2 tb Cooking oil
3 tb Flour
1 c Water
1 Beef bouillon cube
1/2 c Cooking sherry
1 cn (4-oz) mushroom caps

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Combine beef, onions, oats, Worcestershire sauce and milk or tomato
juice; mix well. Divide into eight portions and shape each portion into an
oval patty.
2. Heat oil in large frying pan.  Brown patties on both sides, turning
once. Remove meat from pan.
3. Stir flour into meat drippings; add water and bouillon cube.  Cook until
smooth and thickened.
4. Stir in wine and mushrooms.  Return meat to pan.
5. Cover and lower heat.  Cook until patties aredone.  Approximately    15
additional minutes.
