INGREDIENTS

2 pk Instant yeast
1/2 c Warm water
3 tb Butter; melted
3 Egg yolks
2 c Flour
1/2 c Sugar
1 ts Salt
2 c All-purpose flour
1 c Milk -; (to 1 1/2 cups)
Vegetable oil; for frying
Confectioners' sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

In a medium bowl, whisk the yeast and water together. Add the butter and
eggs. Whisk well. Add the flour, sugar and salt. Whisk well. Add the milk,
a little at a time until the mixture resembles a batter. Cover the bowl
with plastic wrap and allow the dough to rest for 1 hour. Preheat the oil
to 360 degrees. Using a spoon, drop the batter into the hot oil. Fry until
golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Place
the fried sweet dough in a paper bag and add powdered sugar. Shake the bag
a couple of times and serve warm. This recipe yields ?? servings.
