Spanish Beverage 6 Servings

INGREDIENTS

2 Bottles dry red wine
3 oz Brandy
3 oz Triple Sec
2 Oranges; cut into wedges
2 Limes; cut into wedges
1 Apple; cored & cut in wedges
3 c Ice
1 qt Seven-Up or other lemon-lime soda

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine all ingredients except the Seven-Up in a large bowl & let seep for
1 hr. To serve, place ice in a picture & then fill it w/ wine mixture,
adding Seven-Up to taste. Sangria, so the story goes, was invented in old
Castille. It should be made w/ a strong red wine, preferably one of Spanish
origins. Sangria is by far the most popular drink in Spain, served whenever
there is a festive occasion.
