Spicy Braised Cabbage

INGREDIENTS

1 sm Purple onion — chopped
1 ts Salt
1/4 ts Red pepper flakes
1/2 ts Curry powder
1/2 ts Garlic powder
1/4 ts Powdered ginger
1/2 ts Chili powder
2 oz Peanut oil
2 lb Cabbage — cut in 1" wedges
1 c Stock

INSTRUCTIONS

In a 3 quart saucepan saut  the onions and spices in oil until the onions
are tender.  Add the cabbage and saut  until the cabbage just begins to
lose its crispness.  Add the stock and simmer for 5 minutes.
