Spicy Tofu With Satay Sauce And Soba Noodles

INGREDIENTS

40 g Caster sugar, 1 1/2oz
1 Red chilli, deseeded and
finely
chopped
200 Water, 7fl oz
75 g Red plums, cut into 5mm
1/4
inch dice 3oz
1 T Sesame oil
1 150 gram pac marinated tofu
pieces
1 300 gram pac satay sauce
1 300 gram pac soba noodles
2 T Fish sauce
Snipped chives and julienne
of spring
onions

INSTRUCTIONS

In a medium size pan, heat the caster sugar, chilli and water until
the sugar has dissolved.  Add the plums to the pan and cook over a
medium heat until you have a  thick syrupy mixture, approximately 7
minutes. Remove from the heat.  In a separate pan, heat the sesame oil
over a moderate heat and seal  the tofu, approximately 2-3 minutes.
Add the plum mixture and cook for a further minute.  Add the satay
sauce and bring to the boil. Remove from the heat.  Cook the soba
noodles according to pack instructions, add to the  satay and season
with fish sauce.  Notes Serve in a warm bowl garnished with snipped
chives and spring  onions.  Converted by MC_Buster.  NOTES : Nutty
