INSTRUCTIONS
1. Cut the cabbage into quarters. Remove any wilted and discolored outer
leaves and cut out the core from the cabbage pieces. Cut the cabbage into
a large (1-inch) dice.
2. Heat the butter and water to simmering in a 4-quart pot. Stir in the
cabbage, sugar, salt, and pepper. Cover the pot and cook the cabbage,
stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender, about 25 minutes.
