Sugar Cut-out Cookies

INGREDIENTS
| 1/2 | c | Soft shortening |
| 3/4 | c | Sugar |
| 1 | Egg | |
| 1 | T | Milk or cream |
| 1 | t | Vanilla or lemon extract |
| 1 1/4 | c | Flour |
| 1/4 | t | Baking powder |
| 1/4 | t | Salt |
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix together shortening, sugar, and egg. Stir in milk and extract. Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder, and salt. Chill dough. Roll thin (1/16"). Cut out cookies with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Frost and decorate.
