Sugared Nuts

INGREDIENTS

2 1/2 c Mixed nuts
2 tb Sugar
1/2 ts Salt
1 tb Ground cinnamon
1/2 ts Nutmeg
1/2 ts Ginger
2 tb Vegetable oil

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Place nuts in a bowl. Pour the oil in a small,
heavy suacepan and place over medium-low heat until warm. Add the cumin and
cayenne pepper and stir until aromatic, about 15 sec. Pour the flavored oil
over the nuts. Add the sugar and salt and stir to coat evenly. Transfer the
nuts to a baking pan. Bake, stirring occasionally, until the nuts are
toasted, about 20 minutes.
