Sweet And Sour Beef (easy)

INGREDIENTS

1 lb Lean ground beef
1 Onion, thinly sliced
2 t Minced fresh ginger
1 16 oz frozen mixed veggies
snap peas carrots
water
chestnuts pineapple and
red pepper
6 T Bottled sweet and sour sauce
OR sauce from frozen
mixed
vegetables 6-8 T
Cooked rice

INSTRUCTIONS

Place meat, onion and ginger in large skillet; cook over high heat 6
to 8 minutes or until no longer pink, breaking meat apart with wooden
spoon. Pour off drippings.  Stir in frozen vegetables and sauce. Cook,
covered, 6 to 8 minutes or  until vegetables are heated through. Serve
over rice.  Prep and cook time: 15 minutes  Serving suggestion: Serve
with sliced Asian apple-pears.  NUTRITIONAL INFO:  Calories 292, total
fat 15g, protein 21g, carb 19g,  cholesterol 70mg, sodium 182mg,
dietary fiber 3g  Dietary exchanges: 1/2 bread, 3 meat, 2 vegetable, 1
fat  NOTE: To mince ginger, peel it with a vegetable peeler and chop it
with a paring knife until the ginger is in uniform fine pieces.
