Turkey-Apple Sausages

INGREDIENTS

2 tb Ons, oil (replace with broth)
1 Onion
2 Apples, grated
1 lb Ground turkey, lean
1 c Fresh bread crumbs
2 Egg whites
2 ts S, sage leaves (dry, rubbed)
1 1/2 ts S, salt
1/2 ts Pepper
1/4 ts Nutmeg
1/4 ts Allspice

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray. In
nonstick skillet heat oil over medium heat. Saute onions until soft. Add
apples and saute until apples are tender.
Transfer to bowl and cool completely. Add turkey, bread crumbs, egg whites,
sage and spices. Mix well. Divide into 16 patties. Bake about 10 minutes
for fresh patties, 20 minutes for frozen. Serves 8. Calories: 206, Fat: 8
grams per serving.
