We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

These gifts were not the possession of the primitive Christians as such; nor for that matter of the Apostolic Church or the Apostolic age for themselves; they were distinctively the authentication of the Apostles. They were part of the credentials of the Apostles as the authoritative agents of God in founding the church. Their function thus confined them to distinctively the Apostolic Church, and they necessarily passed away with it. Of this we may make sure on the ground both of principle and fact; that is to say both under the guidance of the New Testament teaching as to their origin and nature, and on the credit of the testimony of later ages as to their cessation.

Though my natural instinct is to wish for a life free from pain, trouble, and adversity, I am learning to welcome anything that makes me conscious of my need for Him. If prayer is birthed out of desperation, then anything that makes me desperate for God is a blessing… Puritan pastor William Gurnall makes this point in his writings, “The hungry man needs no help to teach him how to beg.”

Some Day I Shall Hug A Lion

Some Day I Shall Hug A Lion

Some Day I Shall Hug A Lion!

Someday I shall hug a lion! Would you like to be able to do this too? There is a place where boys and girls can hug fearful lions and other animals without being hurt. This place is HEAVEN. The Bible (God’s Word) says there will be no tears, hunger, pain, crying, sorrow, death or darkness. Wouldn’t you like to go to such a wonderful place someday?

Heaven is a perfect place; no sin can enter. Each of us has lied, taken something that belonged to others or cheated on tests at school. God says this is SIN, and sin must be punished by death. “For all have sinned” and “the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 3:23; 6:23)

Don’t be sad, I have GOOD NEWS for you !

“For God so loved the world (you and me), that He gave His only begotten Son (the Lord Jesus), that whosoever (put your name) _________________ believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (life in heaven forever).” (John 3:16)

Although God hates our sins, He loves us very much and wants to save us from our sins. God gave His Son, (the Lord Jesus) to DIE on the cross to pay for everything we have done wrong. The Lord Jesus died to take your punishment and mine like our sister or brother might take whippings that we deserve so that we would not have to be punished.

God will forgive your sins and give you everlasting life as a FREE GIFT, IF YOU BELIEVE JESUS DIED FOR YOUR SINS AND RECEIVE HIM AS YOUR VERY OWN SAVIOUR. “But as many as received Him (the Lord Jesus), to them gave He the power to become the sons of God.” (John 1:12)

You cannot have God’s gift of everlasting life by being good because you can never be good enough. Do you remember your last birthday? Did you pay for your gift? Of course not! Real gifts are free. “For by grace are ye saved through faith (believe Jesus died for you), and that not of yourselves; it is the GIFT of God.” (Ephesians 2:8)

God wants to GIVE you everlasting life. How pleased God will be to see you in heaven! Will you say to God silently “Dear Lord Jesus, I know I have done wrong, but I believe you died for my sins; and I receive you as my own Saviour.” Then, you too can KNOW you will go to Heaven. “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God (the Lord Jesus Christ), that ye may KNOW ye have eternal life.” (I John 5:13)

Are you sure that you will go to Heaven? If you are, I want you to keep on reading. Suppose you sin after you receive the Lord Jesus, will you ever lose your everlasting life? No! Why? Because Jesus died for all your sins and everlasting life is forever and ever.

I want you to remember whenever you have done something wrong, to tell the Lord Jesus about it, and He will forgive you. You are His child now and He will take care of you. He wants you to pray (talk to Him), to read the Bible, and to tell others about His good news.
