God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

God will let you get away with it until suddenly . . .

IX. THE BEST TEXTS FOR ROMAN CATHOLICS

JOH 3:3 In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

JOH 3:5 Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.”

JOH 3:7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’

1JO 2:29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.

1JO 3:9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.

1JO 3:14-17 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?

1JO 5:4 Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

ACT 16:31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved–you and your household.”

ROM 4:5 To the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.

1TI 2:5 There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

PSA 32:5 I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD”–and you forgave the guilt of my sin.

1JO 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

ACT 13:39 Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses.

JOH 5:39 You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me.

1PE 2:1-2 Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.

2TI 3:13-17 Evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

MAR 7:7-8 They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.’ You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.”

MAR 7:13 You nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.”

MAT 22:29 Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.”

MAT 23:9 Do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.
