We Love God!

God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

Real satisfaction comes not in understanding God's motives, but in understanding His character, in trusting in His promises, and in leaning on Him and resting in Him as the Sovereign who knows what He is doing and does all things well.

URBAN LEGEND: Proctor & Gamble Satanic connection ..
Source: Anonymous photocopies, faxes
This urban legen can be traced back to an earlier form. ..
Popular: From early 1970’s to today.
..
Rumour:
The President of P&G appeared on Donahue (Oprah/Geraldo/or any other) and declared himself and his company as a supporter of the Church of Satan. He said a percentage of the company’s profit went to support the Church of Satan (typically 10%). When asked by Donahue about Christian opposition the president states “There’s not enough of them to worry about – and besides, we have plans for them”. ..
Fact:
The president of P&G never appeared on Donahue (or anywhere else) and this rumour is simply unfounded. P&G have letters on file from Donahue, all the networks, major Christian leaders including Billy Graham. The president (at that time) was an episopalian, and even his bishop wrote a letter. A call to P&G will bring the whole package to your door at no charge. ..
This rumour was linked to one about the trademark P&G used. It was a man-in-the-cresent-moon symbol, with 13 stars around it. The curly hairs in the beard were thought to be seen as 6’s. ..
My experience:
I have seen a few different copies of the photocopies which ask for a boycott of all P&G products. I met a man in a Christian bookstore that claimed to have seen the Donahue show HIMSELF (not a friend of a friend, as ususally stated) JUST THE PREVIOUS WEEK. I contacted P&G for their package, which I still have.
..
What happened:
P&G dropped the logo from their products a few years ago. They have a toll-free number to call on their products. Most recently, they’ve revised the trademark to remove the curls from the beard. In 1989 or 1990, after more than a decade of frustration, P&G filed suit against on particularly obnoxious Christian and, either won, or settled out of court. ..
Fact:
P&G is a publicly held company responsible to its shareholders. There is no way the company could be donating money to any organization without it being a matter of record.
..
In regard to the trademark, it was originally a single cross, which developed into a star, a series of stars, then designed with the cresent moon logo. The original single cross and stars where so the illiterate dock workers could identify P&G crates. ..
This rumour came from an earlier, similar rumour regarding McDonalds. Their president was ALSO on Donahue, with exactly the same story.
