Where Have You Seen This Sign Before?
The Scripture Union logo is a lamp – alight and patterned on the ancient clay lamps of the time of Jesus.
This logo can be seen all round the world (see Reading #100A). It was chosen to bring out the theme expressed in Psalm 119 verse 105. Scripture Union wants to help people read the Bible. A torch or street lights help us to see our way in the dark. Reading the Bible helps us to see the way to live in the world.

You have tasted just one of Scripture Union’s Bible resources. FOOTHOLD is an introduction to the whole range, designed to suit all ages and stages. However publishing Bible notes is not the only way Scripture Union workers try to open the Bible with people. Other ways are found in the person-toperson opportunities of Christian outreach amongst school children, camps in school holidays, frontline evangelism amongst children, teenagers and adults at holiday resorts or in suburban centres.
And Scripture Union shops sell a bewildering array of Christian books for children, teens and adults.
