God: "I looked for someone to take a stand for me, and stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30)

The second coming of Christ will also involve the reversal of the curse that was placed on creation at the time of the fall. The creation will no longer groan under the weight of the curse. It will be set free from its bondage to decay (Rom. 8:18–25). All things will be made new. There will be no more tears, no more death, no more mourning, no more pain, for all of these things will have passed away (Rev. 21:1–8). The enemy Satan will be defeated and judged, no more to accuse and attack the people of God (Rev. 20:7–10). All men will stand before the judgment throne of Christ. Those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will inherit the kingdom. Those whose names are not found will be cast into outer darkness (20:11–15).

But what is the meaning of the phrase “on the Lord’s Day?” In one sense, it may be said that every day of the week belongs to the Lord, and so might be called the “Lord’s day.” But John [in Revelation 1:10] is referring to something more specific. He does not speak merely of “a” day that has been consecrated to the Lord. Instead he speaks of “the” Lord’s Day. That one day that may be called “the Lord’s Day” was the day in which He proved to the world that He was Lord. On one particular day, Jesus made the universe understand that He was Lord of all. That day was the day of His resurrection. On that day, he conquered the last of the sinner’s enemies, which is death. On the first day of the week, he showed that his power could overcome all enemies, even death itself. That day is “the Lord’s Day.”

Worship ways to WORSHIP ———-

So many times today we neglect our dear God with the way we worship Him. We, especially in church, sometimes forbid the oldest and most exciting worship that was commanded to us. First of all, we should pray together out loud. Acts 4:24 reads, “And when they heard that, they lifted up thier voice to God with one accord and said, ‘Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:'”. Even the apostles themselves prayed aloud together. We should also lift our hands in praise. The Word in Psalm 134:2 reads, “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.” Thirdly, we should sing with all our heart. For in Psalm 98:4 we read, “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.” This does NOT mean that we should sing our hymns, and just make them sound pr etty. We’re to sing with ALL our heart unto the Lord. Also, we should dance in the Spirit. Yes, dance in the Spirit. Psalm 150:4 reads, “Praise Him with timbrel and dance: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs.” This is not the okay to go ahead and dance unto whatever you wish. David here i s speaking about holy and righteous dancing, not worldly dancing. In II Samuel David danced unto the Lord for seven miles with all his might. We also should clap and shout unto the Lord. Psalm 47:1 is read, “O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.” Shouting and clapping unto the Lord is not irreverent. On the contrary, shouting and clapping is one of th e most exciting ways to worship.
Another way to worship is with musical instruments. II Samuel 6:5 reads, “And David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, a nd on cymbals.” Musical instruments were not invented for the worship of the Lord. They were invented by the world for worldly pleasures. But God saw where they could be used also for the glory of Himself, so He put them too into the hands of His foll owers.
One more thing we should do also is allow the operation of the Spiritual gifts in the church. In I Corinthians 14:26 we read, “How is it them, bretheren? When ye come together, everyone of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a rev elation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.”

These are not all of the ways you can worship. Nor are these the only ways you can worship. The above are only a few that are so often neglected and should be emhpasized. Saying that these types of worship are irreverent, uncultural, or gone with the apostles is obsurd and unscriptural. If you have any questions about what is presented in this file, look; it’s in there; right in the Word of God. | | GOD | ——-|——- | R | u | l | e | s | |
