If thankfulness does not move us to serve God, then we do not truly understand who our God is and what He has done in our behalf. Without gratitude for Christ’s sacrificial love, our duty will become nothing more than drudgery and our God nothing more than a dissatisfied boss.

Ginger-scallion Barbecue Sauce

INGREDIENTS

1/2 c White Vinegar
1 c Soy Sauce
2 T Minced Fresh Ginger
1/3 c Light Brown Sugar, lightly
packed
1/2 c Minced Scallions, White &
Green Parts

INSTRUCTIONS

In small saucepan, combine all ingredients except scallions; bring to
boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 to 40
minutes or until sauce is reduced in volume by about one-half. It
should be thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Remove sauce from
heat, cool for a few minutes and stir in scallions. Serve with
baby-back ribs.  Makes about 1 1/4 cups sauce.  Source: "License to
