Irresistible Peach Almond Crumble

INGREDIENTS

4 c Sliced peeled peaches or
nectarines
2 t Cornstarch
1/3 c Peach or apricot preserves
1/2 c Large flake rolled oats
1/2 c All-purpose flour
1/3 c Packed brown sugar
1/3 c Sliced blanched almonds
1/4 t Ground ginger
1/3 c Butter, melted

INSTRUCTIONS

Fruit:  In a bowl toss peaches with cornstarch; stir in preserves.
Spread in baking dish.  Topping:  In a bowl combine rolled oats, flour,
brown sugar, almonds  and ginger.  Pour butter over; stir in to make
coarse crumbs.  Sprinkle with fruit.  Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or
until topping is golden and filling is  bubbly. Serve warm or at room
temperature with ice-cream, if desired.  Yield: 6 servings  Typed in
