John Wesley

If we measure our success as parents solely by what our children become, there is no inviolable guarantee in Scripture that we will experience absolute success on those terms… The true measure of success for Christian parents is the parents’ own character. To the degree that we have followed God’s design for parenting, we have succeeded as parents before God.
John MacArthur

149:1 Halleluja! Veisatkaa Herralle uusi virsi: ylistysvirsi hänelle hurskasten seurakunnassa.

149:2 Iloitkoon Israel tekijästänsä, Siionin lapset riemuitkoot kuninkaastaan.

149:3 Ylistäkööt he karkeloiden hänen nimeänsä, soittakoot hänelle kiitosta vaskirummuilla ja kanteleilla.

149:4 Sillä Herra on mielistynyt kansaansa, hän kaunistaa nöyrät pelastuksella.

149:5 Iloitkoot hurskaat, veisaten hänen kunniaansa, riemuitkoot he vuoteissansa.

149:6 Jumalan ylistys on heidän suussansa, ja heidän kädessään kaksiteräinen miekka,

149:7 että he kostaisivat pakanoille, kurittaisivat kansakuntia,

149:8 panisivat kahleisiin heidän kuninkaansa ja jalkarautoihin heidän ylhäisensä

149:9 ja täyttäisivät heissä tuomion, joka on kirjoitettu. Tämä on kaikkien hänen hurskaittensa kunnia. Halleluja!
