Nutrient-rich: Tortellini Soup With Peas

INGREDIENTS

3 Garlic cloves, minced
1/2 lb Frozen cheese tortellini
10 oz Canned chicken broth
1 c Frozen peas
1/4 t Pepper
1/4 c Parmesan, freshly grated

INSTRUCTIONS

in saucepan, bring 3 cups water and garlic to boil. Add frozen
tortellini; return to boil. Reduce heat to medium-high; cook,  stirring
occasionally, for 15 minutes. Add chicken broth, 1-1/4 cups  water and
peas; return to boil. Reduce heat to medium; cook for 5  minutes or
until pasta is tender but firm. Stir in pepper and  sprinkle with
cheese.  Per Serving: about 325 calories, 20 g protein, 8 g fat, 42 g
carbohydrate high source fibre, good source calcium, good source iron.
