INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 c Raw peanuts
1 c Sugar
1/2 c Light corn syrup
1/4 ts Salt
1 tb Butter or margarine
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine peanuts, sugar, corn syrup and salt in a dutch oven. Cook over low
heat, stirring gently, until sugar dissolves. Cover and cook over medium
heat 2 to 3 minutes to wash down sugar crystals from sides of pan.
Uncover and cook, stirring occasionally, to hard crack stage (300 degrees
on cand thermometer). Stir in butter, soda and vanilla. Pour into a
buttered 15x10x1 inch jelly roll pan, spreading thinly. Let cool.
Break into pieces. ** Make sure to have everything ready before you start!!
