Sherried Bananas

INGREDIENTS

6 Half-ripe bananas
1 c Sugar
2 c Water
3 Cloves
1/4 c Butter
1/2 Lemon; sliced
2 tb Sherry
Shortening

INSTRUCTIONS

Cut bananas in half, lengthwise. Fry in shortening until golden brown and
remove from skillet. Brown sugar in skillet. Add water and cook until it
forms a thick syrup. Add cloves. Add lemon, butter and sherry; simmer 10
minutes. Add bananas and simmer 5 minutes. Serves 6.
