CATEGORY CUISINE TAG YIELD
Grains Spanish 1 Servings

INGREDIENTS

2 c Raw peanuts (spanish variety with skins)
1 c Granulated sugar
1/2 c Water
Coarse ground salt

INSTRUCTIONS

In a heavy saucepan, combine the nuts, sugar and water. Place over medium
high heat. Cook and stir very carefully just until mixture crystallizes and
coats the peanuts. Takes about 10 to 15 mins- just until dry. Spread the
peanuts on a 15 x15 inch cookie sheet. Sprinkle with the coarse salt. Bake
in a 300 degree oven for 15 mins. Turn only once. Bake 15 mins longer. Cool
and pkg in covered container.
**Be careful when you stir peanuts that the shells don't come off. This is
holding the coating on.
These are addicting so you may need to hide from yourself.
