INGREDIENTS

1 500 gram pac turkey mince
4 Salad onions
75 g Canned or frozen sweetcorn; defrosted if frozen
; (3oz)
1 md Size egg
1 tb Plain flour
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Flour to dust hands and work surface
A selection of vegetables to garnish and
; baked
Beans and mashed potato to serve

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven to 200 C, 400 F, Gas Mark 6. Brush a baking tray using a
pastry brush with a little vegetable oil.
Place the turkey mince in a large mixing bowl.
Wash and trim the ends off the salad onions. Slice the onions thinly and
add to the turkey mince.
If using canned sweetcorn and the sweetcorn should be drained before use.
Add the sweetcorn to the turkey mince.
Crack the egg into a small bowl and beat with a fork. Add to the large
mixing bowl with the plain flour and seasoning. Mix using a large spoon and
stir well to thoroughly combine all the ingredients.
Using well floured hands and a floured surface divide the mixture into 6
and shape into starship shapes. Make them slightly oval in shape with a
flat base and a domed top. The burgers at this stage can be cooked
immediately or place onto a clean plate, cover and refrigerate until
required.
Place the burgers onto the baking tray and place in the preheated oven.
Cook the burgers for 25-30 minutes. The burgers should be cooked throughout
until the centre is piping hot with no pink colour remaining.
Serve the spaceships on baked beans or spaghetti with mounds of mashed
potato as planets and with a favourite vetgetable. Place cherry tomato
halves or other garnishes of your choice on each dome to make the burgers
look more like a spaceship.
